Group Status:

Lezant made a start in September 2002, but the first Group meeting was in July 2003.

There are now nearly 30 people involved and keeping records. We have enjoyed some good botanical surveys in selected areas with Ian Bennallick and hold regular monthly nature walks. We also have a very active Otter and Photography group.

5th July Walk based on the Greystone Bridge area
Parish Wildlife and habitat Status:

The Inny meets the Tamar at the SE boundary of the parish. and the Lowley brook is another extensive river system the drains most of the parish from the North, running directly into the Tamar. Otters and recently Mink are observed quite regularly. Dippers, Kingfishers,  Red Deer, are among some of the wildlife to be seen here.
