Main Tourist Spot At Falls May Close Down

A top tourist spot, The One Niagara Tourism Center, is in the closure list because of an assessment dispute. This tourist place is at the location of the Niagara Falls. This place is visited by tourists every year.
The city records show that the owners of the building have not paid property tax to the tune of $1.6 million to the city and school district.
According to the Mayor, the tourist spot is making enough money and there is no excuse for not paying the tax. Not paying the tax would force the authorities to auction the building. There has been resentment amongst people, as the property has made a lot of money even this tourist season.
The managing partner of One Niagara says that they have been assessed on the higher side and for floors which are not in use. According to him, they would try to settle the matter in court, to save the tourist spot from further disgrace.
